Gloria P. Heath, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, in James City County, Virginia, at the age of 78. Born on November 7, 1947, in Wilson, North Carolina, Gloria lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to her family and community.
A graduate of York High School, Gloria was a member of Olive Branch Church in Norge, Virginia. She retired from Williamsburg Plantation, where she worked diligently and formed lasting friendships with colleagues and guests alike.
Gloria had a passion for spending time with her family, often gathering them together for cookouts and family get togethers. Her love for painting and music enriched her life and the lives of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Ray Heath Sr., and her parents, Mildred J. Pearson and Lee A. Pearson. Gloria’s legacy continues through her surviving family: her devoted son, Harold Ray Heath Jr., and his wife, Katie M. Heath; her cherished grandchildren, Hannah Stanley and her husband, Aidan, Ashley M. Heath, and Dalton R. Heath; her loving sister, Susan Tate; and her dear nephew and niece, Brandon Tate and Elizabeth Tate. She also leaves behind her step-granddaughters, Caroline Hatch and Brittany Hatch, and her step-great-grandchildren, Kendall Nixon, Sade Nixon, Lucio Morales, and Lawless Morales.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Gospel Way Church in Lightfoot, Virginia. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Gloria’s remarkable life and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
