It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hazel Renfrow, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on February 25 2025 at the age of 92. Hazel was a woman of kindness, strength, and unwavering love, touching the lives of all who knew her.

Born on October 22, 1932 in Newport News VA, to parents James Levi Ellis and Mary Elizabeth Ellis. Hazel lived a life full of compassion and dedication to her family. She was known for her warm heart, her generosity, and the wisdom she shared with those around her. She found joy in being with her family.

Hazel is survived by her children, Wayne Renfrow (partner Lorraine) and Julie Renfrow (spouse Patty); Grand Children Kimbery Compton, Sherri Perez, Wayne Renfrow, II, Jamie Feliciano, and Jeff Harrison (spouse Danielle); Great-Grandchildren, Brittany, Jordyn, Chase, Ava and Sophia and her Sister, Elizabeth Bush all who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nedham Carl Renfrow; her daughter, Deborah Lynn Garrison; her son, Stephen Myron Renfrow; her brothers, James Levi Ellis and Williams Guy Ellis and our beloved Other mommie.
