Helen E. Chamberlain – Virginia Beach

Helen E. Chamberlain, 88, went to be with her Lord November 14, 2011. She was born in Jonesport, ME to the late Benjamin H. and Lucy A. Alley. She was a member of Haygood United Methodist Church, the Aragona Village Civic League, Elizabeth Fairbank Circle and the United Methodist Women. She was predeceased by her husband, Thaddey M. Chamberlain.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Mary Ann Hitchings of Virginia Beach; sons, Thaddey L. Chamberlain and wife Darlene of PA. and Clayton Chamberlain of PA; sister, Mabelle Chapin of ID; very special friend Sue Aten of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Terry, Susan, Heidi, Jeanie, Kathy, Kristine, and Teddy; 11 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 2:00pm at Haygood United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Shumate officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Mrs. Chamberlain’s name, to the Haygood UMC Food Pantry or a charity of ones’ choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cremate.org.
