Helen Golomb Kovach, 93, passed away April 27, 2012. She was born Dec. 25, 1918 in Allentown, PA to Charles and Anna Toth Golomb. Helen was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Paul Kovach. She is survived by her only child, Jimmy Kovach of Virginia Beach and his wife, Susan; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren who she loved dearly, Rachel and Steve Eckard, James, Aaron and Michael Kovach of Norfolk , Jordan and Carly Kovach of Virginia Beach, Hope, Noah, Jacob and Aurora, all of Norfolk; also her brother Sam Golomb and his wife Agnes of Whitehall, PA.
Helen loved celebrating her birthday on Christmas day and fulfilled her childhood dream of marrying on the same day. Helen and Paul were shining examples of an affectionate, loving marriage. They enjoyed walking in the gardens for over 40 years. A memorial service will take place Saturday, May 19th from 10:30 to 11:30am in the Rose Hall room at Norfolk Botanical Gardens to honor them both, all are invited.
