We are heartbroken to announce the death of our father, Henry L. Jones. He passed away on June 30, 2023, in Norfolk, VA, at the age of 65.

Our dad took pride in working for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a gate guard. He enjoyed all things law enforcement working as a police officer for the New York Police Department earlier in his career and later in numerous security positions. In his spare time, his hobbies included playing video games, shooting his guns, and enjoying an occasional cigar and drink on his days off.  Always quite the character, he was always cracking a joke or saying his favorite line, “Booya!”. He will be sorely missed and will always and forever hold a place in our hearts.

He leaves behind three children, Henry L. Jones Jr, Anna C. Adams and Stacey M. Inge; five grandchildren, Elias A. Adams, Illyanna D. Adams, Zy’Aire D. Felton, Trey C. Jones and Pearl D. Jones; four siblings Robin R. Jones, Deborah D. Jones Williamson, Michael A. Jones and Vincent L. Hinton and his mother Miriam B. Jones.

As per our fathers’ request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
