Virginia Beach – Hermine C. Smal passed away on February 6, 2017. She left behind the love of her life, Herman W. Smal, 5 children, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Hermine was born in Holland on August 8, 1927 and at age 19, met and married her husband of 70 years, Herman Smal.
After having 4 children in Holland, they left for America where they had their 5th child. Having lived in San Diego, CA for 45 years, the ever adventurous Hermine and her husband moved to Virginia Beach, VA; spreading her gorgeous smile from coast to coast. Hermine was an accomplished seamstress and homemaker, an amazing Wife, Mother, Oma, Mrs. Oma and genuine friend to everyone she came across. She has left us with many beautiful memories and will be dearly missed.
