She was born in Norfolk to the late Ed and Grace Bowden. Jackie was a member of Hyde Park Free Will Baptist Church in Norfolk. Jackie retired from Sentara Healthcare and spent her retirement devoted to her family. She was a godly woman who was an incredibly kind, caring, loving, generous, sweet mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived her life with no complaints and was always grateful for her blessings. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Forehand and Karen Figley, her grandchildren, Jennifer Dorman, Amber Dorian, Kristen Spannagel, Mike Griffin, and seven beautiful great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty Roche, and her beloved grandmother, Mae Whitehurst.
