Portsmouth-passed away Sept. 26, 2017. James was a retired professor from Tidewater Community College and the United States Naval Reserve. He was predeceased by his loving wife Marcia Long Walsh. Left to cherish his memory is his son Christopher Walsh. Memorial donations can be made to the Portsmouth Humane Society.
