Jane met the love of her life, Thomas Wier Moore, while attending Camp McDowell in Northern Alabama.  They were married in June 1963 and with Tom’s career  in the Navy they moved all over.  No matter where they lived Jane always made each new destination a home for her family.  During the last duty station in Virginia Beach Jane worked many years at Navy Relief at the Oceana Naval Air Station.  Jane enjoyed her yard and gardening, antiquing, and the occasional trip to a casino.  She enjoyed the neighborhood bunco group and all of the friends that she made.  She loved her dog Curley of 16 years.

In addition to being predeceased by her husband Tom Moore in October 2012, she was recently predeceased by her daughter Nancy May in January 2023.  She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Smetana (Bill), son Walter Moore, grandchildren Cody Withrow, Jessica Lafferty, Harrison Moore, Grace Moore and 2 great grandchildren Cameron and Brett Withrow and her sister Allane Hybart (Jim) of Mobile Alabama.

Celebration of Life will be held at a future date and an interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia with the love of her life Tom.
