Jane Elizabeth Campbell
Virginia Beach- Jane Elizabeth Brown Campbell, 81, of Virginia Beach, VA., died Friday, July 6, 2012, at Virginia Beach General Hospital. Born July 31, 1930, in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late H. Everett and Marion Mullen Brown.
A 1952 graduate of LeMoyne College, Syracuse, NY, Jane was an accomplished pianist and organist. She performed as accompanist to the LeMoyne College Glee Club and the Carrier Corporation Chorus. Over a period of thirty years, she volunteered her time as organist at St. Ann’s parish in Manlius, NY, as well as parishes in Chicago and Kansas City.
Mrs. Campbell worked for Insurance Companies in Syracuse and Manlius, NY as a Bookkeeper and volunteered her time with literacy in both Charleston, S.C. and in Hampton Roads.
A devoted wife and mother, Jane is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Thomas Campbell; her children: Thomas Jr. Donna of Providence, RI; Martha Kutik David of Avon Lake, Ohio; Andrew Campbell of Columbia, MD; and Mary Streett David of Virginia Beach, VA; as well as 9 grandchildren: Andrea, Thomas, Lauren, Marcia Jane, Jenny, David Jr., Matthew, Meagan, and Noah. Mrs. Campbell is also survived by a sister, Marion Boyle of Kansas.
There will be a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 712 Little Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA, on Tuesday, July 10th at 2:00 p.m. A reception will be held after the Mass.
