I have so many fond memories of Aunt Janet! I loved visiting her home in Ohio, and she was so talented with her many wooden crafts. Growing up each of us kids had Easter baskets she hand painted for us, and I still break mine out as an adult because I love it so much. I also remember that for my wedding 10 years ago she hand painted a picture of my pets for a wedding gift which was so thoughtful and generous, and it was one of the most wonderful gifts we could have received because it was clear how much effort she put into it. I was so impressed and touched. Janet had so much talent and was happy to share it with everyone, not only in the form of handmade gifts but also in passing on her techniques so that others could learn. She was such a special person who is going to be missed very much.

Aunt Janet will be greatly missed. I was 5 months pregnant with my second daughter when my mom (her sister) passed away. My mom never got to crochet a blanket for the new one but had started making squares for a shawl for my first born. Aunt Janet gladly accepted the challenge of making those squares into a perfect baby blanket. Only one of many stories. Thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

To Janet’s family, Our condolences to you all. We were neighbors back in the 80s and I worked with Janet in the local Cub Scout pack. At another time Janet coached Kathy in re-tiling our shower. We appreciated her creativity and encouragement. May God bring you strength and comfort, and may Janet rest in peace. Sincerely, Fred and Kathy Glasser Westerville Ohio (formerly of Hilliard)
