Janice J. Morgan, age 73, of Bartlesville, OK, died suddenly on Sunday, March 4, 2024, of heart issues.
On January 5, 1951, Janice was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, the daughter of Doris (Tanner) Daily and Jack Junior Fleming. She graduated from Sooner High School.
A Navy wife, she proudly followed her husband across the globe through six different duty stations. She was most fond of the bond and lifelong friendships she built with other Navy wives in in places like Guam and Cuba.
Funny, brutally honest, and fierce in defense of her children, her passing leaves a void for her family, classmates and internet friends scrambling to fill.
Janice will be dearly missed by her husband of 40 years Lawrence L Morgan of Newport News, VA, three sons Christopher M-W Wallace and wife Karry of Moore, OK, Joshua J Morgan currently in Kuwait and Logan E. Morgan of Newport News, VA; a sister: Anita (Fleming) McDowel of Bartlesville OK., Sister-in-law Dixie (Morgan) Bailey and husband Tim of Hobe Sound Florida; Six Grand Children; Tyler and Megan Wallace of Moore Oklahoma, Jay Morgan of Newport News, Mackenzie, Christian and Mason Morgan of Broken Arrow, Ok; one nephew and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Janice would not be excited about flowers or Memorial contributions. She would be thrilled if you planted sunflowers, put up a bird feeder and bought yourself a Dr. Pepper.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cremation Society of Virginia in Newport News, Virginia. The family plans a memorial at a later date.
