Williamsburg- Janice Merlee Ortalan, 70, passed away peacefully February 21, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Janice was a tailor for over thirty years, working at Rusty R Bryant’s in Colonial Williamsburg. She loved making 18th century ballroom gowns.

She is survived by her husband, Metin Ortalan, her children; Janice MacKellar (Mike), Thomas Haven, Amy Currin (John), Robert Baird (Amanda), and her grandchildren; Kurt Neely, Corey Chamberlain, Christina Sadowski, Jessika Foster and Kiara Haven; and a great-grandchild Abigail Neely. She is also survived by her brother, Don Hagy, sisters, Gail Lima and Cindy Balsly. A special thank you to the nurses and doctors at Williamsburg Doctors Hospital and Sentara Norfolk General.
