Jay is survived by his wife, Kathy Goodman; children, Wayne Allen (Erica), Joshua (Pamela), Danny, Tasia, and Jason Colley; grandkids, Emma, Joscelyn, Gabriella, Taliyah, Dynasti, Zhariah (Byrd), and Shelby; and great grandson, Za’Khari.

May the road rise to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face.

The rain fall soft upon your fields.

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

I’m am sorry to hear of Jay’s passing, we were good friends in the late 80’s. I remember him as a trusted friend and all around great guy. I’m sure he is missed by many.

Gonna miss you ol' feller. We had some crazy times at work. Terrible paving jobs that made us laugh, throw up our hands, and wish we were drinking cold ones. You were like a big brother.

i worked with Jay for years,i worked the Charles City Scales and he was one of my drivers,we would always find something to laugh or joke about and he was always a pleasure to talk to,no matter either of our moods,Jay you will be missed by all and i want your family to know that you were highly thought of,RIP my friend
