Jean D. Moyer, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024, in Virginia after a brave five-year battle with cancer. Born in Reading Pennsylvania, Jean’s life was marked by her unwavering courage and strength.
Jean’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, who were always the most important part of her life. She cherished every moment with her husband of 40 years, Dennis Moyer, and took immense pride in her children: Dwight Moyer (Sunnie), Rachel Moyer (Justin), and Danielle M. Ortiz (Seve). Her grandchildren, Harlow and Lillian, were the light of her life, and she found endless happiness in their presence.
A lover of the beach, Jean particularly enjoyed her visits to Ocean City, New Jersey, where she found peace and contentment by the sea. Her love for the ocean was a reflection of her free spirit and her deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Judith and Robert Wenrich. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
In accordance with her wishes, a small, private service will be held to lay her remains to rest. Jean’s family and friends will forever hold her in their hearts, remembering her for the strong, loving, and devoted woman she was.
