Chesapeake, VA – Jean Marie Gillette, born on July 6, 1939, in Long Branch, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 86. A woman of faith, she was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John D. Blair and Gladys Pearce Blair. She is survived by her husband, Almon H. Gillette, her daughter, Deborah Hughes, and son-in-law, Frank. She, aka “Nanna” was especially proud of her grandchildren, Alex Thomas and Conner Thomas. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on June 14, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. at Community United Methodist Church, 1072 Old Kempsville Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
