Jeanie (Martinson) White, age 61, passed away on September 4, 2020 after a long battle with thyroid cancer. She was born to Rodger and Betty Martinson in Flint, MI on February 4, 1959 and was preceded in death by her father, Rodger Martinson; sister, Julie Ann; and brother, Rodger Jr.
Jeanie worked as a cashier and accountant for Walmart for several years. Prior to that she worked for Frank’s Nursery and Crafts. Her hobbies included sewing, crafts, watching Big Bang Theory & Harry Potter, going to yard sales with her longtime friend, Sue Cooper, and spending time with her family and friends (camping, tubing, canoeing, going to Aerosmith concerts and of course, vacationing at the “Happiest Place on Earth,” Disney World).
She made every effort to live life to the fullest despite her battle with cancer. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their children. She also went on several Caribbean cruises and traveled across the country to spend time with her grandchildren, friends and relatives. What Jeanie enjoyed more than anything else was making other people’s dreams come true. She loved surprising her loved ones with whatever they wanted. If there was some way that she was able to, she would make it happen.
Jeanie is survived by her husband, Randy White; son, Randy White II (Samanta White), daughter, Crystal White (Christopher Harvey); son, Corey Trotter & Co.9; grandkids, Akira White, Blayd White & Kaylee O’Neil; mother, Betty Martinson; sister, Debbie Martinson Graham (Greg Graham); brother, Jeffrey Martinson; several nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date; most likely in northern Michigan at her sister’s residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to THANC Thyroid Head and Neck Cancer Foundation
