Jennie Ann Koronik, 95, passed away peacefully, June 7, 2022 in Virginia Beach, VA surrounded by her loving family. Jennie was born June 29, 1926 to John and Laukada Drabkowski of Chester, PA.
Jennie was raised in the Polish community and Parish of St. Stanislaus in Wilmington, DE. She was very proud of her heritage and a devoted servant to the Lord. Jennie loved her family dearly and enjoyed hearing all about the latest news, happenings and events with everyone. Jennie definitely loved sharing stories past and present. She was her own book of knowledge. Jennie mostly enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the seashore and reading.
In addition to being predeceased by her parents, Jennie was predeceased by her husband Walter B. Koronik, her children Walter B. Koronik, Jr., Edward J. Koronik, Jennie M. Rosica, Vincent C. Koronik, Paulette A. Chinski and Paul J. Koronik; four grandchildren Dawn Gebhart, Adrian Chinski, Christina Mulgrew and Robert Tiley; her four sisters Francis, Mary, Margaret and Josephine; two brothers Zenon and Phillip.
Left to cherish her memory are her two children Barbara P. Moore, Virginia Beach, VA and David Koronik, Las Vegas, NV. Also, a brother John Drake in San Francisco, CA. Jennie was a proud grandmother to have had 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
The family greatly appreciates the care given to our Mother and grandmother by Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Virginia Beach, VA, Westminster Hospice, all the nurses, the aids and staff who treated her so lovingly and with the kindest of care.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church, 809 S. Broom St., Wilmington, DE and Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Ave, Wilmington, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Monastery, 3222 Co RD 548, Hanceville, AL 35077, Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN.org) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
