Her life, though marked by challenges, was a testament to resilience and the unwavering strength she found in the love of her family and the simple joys of life.

Jennifer’s journey through life was not defined by her work, but rather by the deep connections she fostered with her family and friends and the moments of happiness she created in their company. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, sharing laughter and love around the kitchen table or basking in the warmth of a sunny day. The vibrant colors of butterflies always brought her delight, symbolizing transformation, hope, and the beauty of life – qualities she embodied so well.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her devoted mother, Cindy Schander, and stepfather, Roger Schander; her father, Ralph Bregant, and stepmother, Lisa Bregant. Her legacy lives on in her beloved brother, Shawn Bregant, and his wife, Rachell, as well as in her cherished nephew, Logan Bregant. Jennifer’s caring spirit will also be remembered by her aunt, Kim Granger, who shared many heartwarming moments with her.

Though her professional endeavors were curtailed by disability, Jennifer’s life was rich in love and familial bonds. Her story reminds us that true success lies in the impact we have on those we hold dear.

We are so grateful for the time we shared with Jennifer. Even though it was short, her smile and sense of humor will always be remembered. We wish you all peace and comfort.

Jennifer always loved picking the blueberries and blackberries in our yard. It's so sad that she missed the season this year. When I pick them I will think of her. She loved the butterflies and birds we try to attract. I remember her getting all excited about a unusual insect she found and photographed on our front porch. That was Jennifer always full of life! Through the years we had our ups and downs but I will always remember the many good times. Jennifer had a loving, generous, contagious personality but don't mess with her! She will be greatly missed by Cindy and me. I thank her friends and our friends for your love and support during this time!

I met Jen about 21 years ago, and from the very beginning, she welcomed me into the gang of friends with open arms. I always adored her bright spirit, her zest for life, and the way she brought fun and joy everywhere she went. Over the past year, Jen and I had started reconnecting, and I followed her journey closely—hoping and praying for her health to turn around so she could have more time surrounded by the people she loved and who loved her deeply. Jen will forever hold a special place in my heart and in my memories of Virginia Beach. My thoughts and prayers are with her parents and her brother Shawn during this heartbreaking time. Rest in peace, sweet angel. You will be missed more than words can say.

God rest your soul. Jennifer always took care of me and Larry when she was working. We got to know her and found out that she was Ralph’s daughter. I have been friends with her on Facebook for years and followed her journey with this horrible illness. Jennifer fought hard and deserves to rest in peace.

Dear Jen, you and your whole family became my first and fastest friends when I moved to Virginia Beach. I knew immediately your family was special and so closely knitted together. I was honored to be included in many family get togethers and met so many wonderful people! Whenever you arrived, your smile and loving demeanor brightened the room. I worked with her at Harley davidson. we would always tease each other like brother and sister. She was so fun to work with and she will be missed.
