Joan M. McQuade

Norfolk – Joan M. McQuade, 87, passed away on June 2, 2013. Miss McQuade was a native of Moundsville, WV and a resident of Norfolk since 1941. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Charles Leo and Edna Greenan McQuade and was preceded in death by her brother, Charles J. McQuade and sister, Frances Maria McQuade. She was a 1942 graduate of Maury High School, Norfolk, VA and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Norfolk, VA.
She retired from the Navy Publications and Printing Service office, Naval Station, Norfolk as a printing specialist.
A mass will be at 11am on Friday, June 14, 2013 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7800 Halprin Dr., Norfolk, VA 23518. Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the cremation.

Rosemary, I'm so sorry for your loss. Joan was a wonderful lady. She is up in heaven now with my mom having a wonderful time together.

What a nice Lady,I sold her a car a few years ago, sorry to hear of her passing

Rosemary & Rita & families: Joan was a long time friend of the Rosser Family! We lived 2 houses down from her. We loved Edna & Joan just like family. I was glad that I got to visit her in the hospital a few days before her biopsy and spoke to her twice afterwards. We had a lot of talks over the years and she was there for me when I lost our Mother, Kitty Rosser Jamerson almost two years ago.She was also a dear friend that I could confide in and was there for me when I lost my son at age 28. She always knew what to say to ease the pain. We will miss her terribly.May God give her peace forever and may she be be in Heaven with all the good and Holy. I would love to stay in touch.
