Joann Francis Kelley, 82, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on May 28, 2021, with her husband by her side. She was the oldest of two daughters of Joseph and Olive May, born on April 14, 1939, in Woodstock, IL, raised in McHenry, IL and retired with her husband in Virginia Beach, VA. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Lois Ann Welke, in January 2021 and her son-in-law, Anthony W. DeShong in August 2020.

She was married to Robert Kelley on August 22, 1959, in McHenry, IL; they have three children, Robert J. and wife Carol Kelley of Leominster, MA, Linda S. Kelley, and Lisa M. DeShong of Hampton, VA, three granddaughters and one great grandson. Joann enjoyed baking and decorating wedding and special occasion cakes, reading, her flower gardens, squirrels, Chickadees, Nutcrackers, and had a passion for needlework, which looked like masterpieces, and her glass of Pepsi.

No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Lung Association are appreciated.
