Life on this earth passes quickly, but the memories of our love ones who journey before us, remain in our hearts forever. Allow the love and peace of God to comfort our spirits, as we share sorrow deep within our souls.

I worked with "Mrs. Pharmor" at GTP for many years. She was always a smiling face in the classrooms and in the front office. FB allowed us to catch up back in 2010 and we had talked briefly online less than 6 months ago. I remember her making costumes for our PTA program and loaning me a Mary Higgins Clark book after the birth of my second child. Sweet lady who made the days of others a little lighter. My prayers are with her family during this most difficult time.

Dear Richard and family, How sad to learn of Joanna's passing. Words cannot express my deep admiration for her devotion to family, her zest for life and wonderful sense of humor. She was a trusted friend and we had such fun working together. I am so very sorry for your loss. Perhaps if we all listen very carefully we'll hear her lovely voice in God's heavenly choir.

To Richard and family, I was in school nursing in Wilson with Joanna in the 60's, and we were roommates. We had a blast-double-dating with our future husbands, our weddings, and our first-born babies. I remember getting together often on the weekends, and playing cards or dancing, just having such fun. Frequently Wilton and Cheribeth were there, too. We were all friends, and Joanna and I kept up with each other for a long time. She had a great sense of humor, and we had a hilarious time rooming together in nursing school-oh, we laughed a lot. I'll miss her and Mrs. Aiken, too. Both were kind ladies. Love, Linda

My best friend and confidant, always with words of encouragement when needed. Facebook and texting kept us close when life prevented visits. I have so many wonderful memories of times we had; harmonizing on every song we knew, camping with young children, visits at your house and mine. Just the easy conversation of kindred spirits. I can't yet comprehend life without my friend, yet I know my pain can't be compared to the loss you feel for your wife, mother and granny. What joy Joanna must be experiencing with her daddy who left her far to soon, her sweet mother, granny Floy and granny Laster and little Lonnie as well as other relatives and friends. Take care of Sonny for me, dear friend, until I join you.
