A beloved wife, mother, and daughter, Joanna Bomhoff Evans, 59, ascended this earthly veil on Valentine’s Day, Feb 14, 2023.  No day could have been more appropriate, as she loved with a love that was deeply returned in kind. Not only by her husband Tom Evans and devoted son Dylan Evans (“Best Mom ever!”), but the extended family and friends who came to know the bright abundance of her generous spirit. She is also survived by her dear mother, Lesley Nicholson, and stepfather John Nicholson. She was predeceased by her father, Harold Bomhoff.

A poem she posted in her final days urged all affected by her loss to alchemize their grief into a meaningful life of compassion and kindness. This was the final touch of her outstretched hand, extended over the years to bring balance to Dylan’s life and firm support for Tom, her co-conspirator in life’s adventures and travels.

She had a magnanimous spirit, was so easy to talk to, and was a patient, empathetic listener. May all of us who knew her carry Joanna’s loving spirit with us, that quiet strength with which she met every day.
