I had the good fortune to work with him at St. Juliens Creek for a few years. One of the best persons I have ever met. He was a hard worker who had a unique way of looking at the world. He always made me laugh. He will be truly missed. God Bless.

My heart felt condolences to his family, may God rest his soul. The way I figure it, God must have needed a Mr. Fix It and called John home. Learned a ton from him and all good memories. Fair winds and following seas to you John.

My condolences to the family. John was a great person. First met John in 1991 he was doing installs for the Coast Guard. I remember sending John and his team to Miami and it was over Coast Guard Day and the Communication Station invited them to the celebration and all John could talk about after that was horseshoes, free beer and food, what more could you ask for. John will be missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I'm so sorry for your loss. John was what my late husband Anthony Dioguardi called "a good egg." We knew him from our days at St Juliens Creek. He was sweetly sarcastic and gave us lots of smiles.

Marsha, I only met John the one time when we had our cousins reunion and took over his house. In spite of all that he was very warm and friendly to us and was fun to be around. Remember the good times and hang on to the family during this time of grief. Love Carole

Dear Marsha and family, It's not easy to find the words to help you heal, but maybe by sharing a story about John would help. He was a wonderful fixer upper! He could build and fix just about anything, trying was the fun part. He was to kind to help Carl with the renovation of our home in Chesapeake years ago. Carl still shares stories with me when they worked together. May you have peace and grace at the time.

I worked with John off and on for the last 25 years, and the only time I ever heard him raise his voice in anger, it was in defense of his crew against unreasonable demands. He was a positive influence in the world, and we are diminished by his absence. Fair winds and following seas, shipmate -- we'll miss you!
