John Calvin Patterson, II, born on September 4, 1979, in Lehighton, PA, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, in Virginia Beach, VA, at the age of 45. His life, though tragically cut short by colon cancer, was a testament to resilience and unwavering dedication.
John’s journey began in Lehighton, where his early years were filled with the values of honor, courage, and commitment—principles that would guide him throughout his life. He proudly served his country as a Boatswain’s Mate Chief (BMC/E-7) in the United States Navy, a role he cherished deeply. The Navy was not just a career for John; it was a calling that allowed him to embody the very essence of service and duty. After retiring from the Navy, John continued to demonstrate his analytical prowess and determination as a contracting analyst with Prevailance, Inc.
A man of diverse interests, John found joy in cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Mets, passions that connected him with countless fans across the country. His love for sports was a reflection of his competitive spirit and his belief in the power of teamwork.
John’s legacy is carried forward by his beloved family: his devoted wife, Yukiko Patterson, who stood by his side through every challenge; his parents, Keith and Jane Patterson, who instilled in him the foundational values he lived by; and his sister, Jessica Weierbach, who shared countless memories and moments.
Though John’s earthly presence has departed, the impact of his life remains, inspiring all who knew him. He lived with integrity, demonstrating each day what it meant to live fully and to love deeply. Those fortunate enough to have known him will forever remember his steadfast loyalty and his generous spirit.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Back Bay Farmhouse located at 1805 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
