J.c. was like an older brother to me seeing that we were double first cousins. J.C. was very smart in school and use to help other kids with their homework. He played football at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.

Sorry to hear about my double first cousin j.c. passing. My uncle Goldie and aunt May let J.C. live with us for a while and he was a great older cousin. I kinda lost track of J.C. When he went to live with a pricipals family in Kountz Texas. I got to thinking of J.C. recently and I found his memorial. I heard he had joined the navy. J.C.'s dad and my dad married sisters. I'm 71 fixing to be 72. J.C. was about 5 years older than me. J.C.'s grandfather who was named John Yawn lived with us also before he passed away. My parents are also deceased. My dad was Harvey Yawn and my mom was Ivory Veria Yawn nee Leviness J.C. was always very kind to me and I loved him very much. I have 2 sisters...Ethel Trahan and Linda Yawn.I just wanted to send my condolences and I know it's late but I just wanted to let you know he was my cousin and my best friend. Sincerely Clifford O. Yawn

I was saddened to hear about the loss of John. Hearing his name brought back fond memories of his awesome laugh that I used to love to hear at work. I can remember trying to crack jokes just to hear him laugh. He was always one that seemed to enjoy life at it fullest and always had an awesome sense of humor. I'll bet he is already making them laugh up their. I am sure he will surely be missed by everyone.
