John Dodson Lethcoe, Jr., age 59, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born February 27, 1962 to the late John Lethcoe, Sr.

He is survived by his loving mother, Artistine Mears Lang and stepfather, Darnel Lang; brother, Julian Lethco;, sister, Christina Banks (Jeffrey); three nephews, Tyrell, Jaylin and Jamari; four nieces, Chene, Latasha, Laquesha and Janiyah.

John (John John) graduated from the Newport News School system and joined the United States Navy, where he was a Chief. Following his Navy travels, John took up carpentry as well as plumbing and electrical. John was always willing to help with any household repairs when he wasn’t working. He enjoyed cooking and dancing.

John will be sorely missed.

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.
