Chesapeake – John J. Davis Jr., born June 4, 1950 in White Plains, New York to the late John and Elvira Davis passed away peacefully on April 22, 2017 surrounded by people who loved him dearly.
John is survived by his long-time girlfriend Patricia Ambrose, Daughter Ashly Davis and Son Brenan Davis who reside with their Mother Lisa Davis, Sister Kim Russette-Bowman, her Husband Ken and their Son Nicholas, four cousins, one niece, and many other beloved family members. Along with John’s parents, his sister Geri Daniel-Harrington preceded him in death.
A Veteran of the Vietnam War, John enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and proudly served his country. John has worked as a Craftsman for the Virginia Beach City Public School System for the last 17 years where he has made many memorable relationships as a co-worker, mentor, and a friend.
A Memorial Service will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1801 Baltic Ave., Virginia Beach, 23451 on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM with a reception afterward. Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting the family and service.
