John Joseph Baggio, born on March 16, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on March 9, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
John was raised in Pittsburgh and pursued higher education at Duquesne University. Before completing his studies, he honorably served his country in the military as an MP, an experience that deeply shaped his character and values.
In 1979, John relocated to Virginia, where he embarked on a successful career in advertising and television. His creativity and commitment to excellence in his profession were admired by colleagues and clients alike. Outside of his professional life, John found joy on the golf course, cherishing both the sport and the camaraderie it offered.
John is preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sister. He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Tanya M. Baggio, who was his steadfast partner throughout life’s journey. John is also remembered fondly by his cousins and nieces, who will cherish the memories of his humor and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s memory to the Best Friends Animal Society, reflecting his compassion and care for all living creatures.
