He leaves behind 3 children; John J. Moore III (Laura), Robert S. Moore (Dana) and Kathleen Cappellini (Chris). He was a much loved Grandpa to Tessa & Sondra Moore, Connor & Reilly Moore and Joseph & Alyssa Cappellini.
John worked for the State of New York at Stony Brook and at Cold Spring Harbor School District. After his retirement, he and his wife moved to Williamsburg Virginia.
Cremation Society of Virginia assisted the family with arrangements.
