John R. Cobb, III, a beloved father, grandfather, and skilled electrician, passed away on January 21, 2024, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Born in Virginia, John dedicated his life to his work and family, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on those who knew him.

John had a diverse range of interests, from sailing catamarans to shooting and following the Redskins with unwavering loyalty. His love for cars, especially Chevys, was evident in his enthusiasm whenever he talked about them. Every day, he made sure to catch Kelly Ripa’s show and what he affectionately referred to as “The Vanna White Show.” However, above all else, John’s grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He adored them immensely and always wanted the best for them.

John’s passing is deeply mourned by his surviving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, John R. Cobb, Jr. and Lena Cobb. He leaves behind his daughter, Braden Wicks, and his son, John R. Cobb IV. In addition, he leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Hannah (10) and Sam (8).

At this time, the family kindly requests privacy as they grieve the loss of their beloved John. The memories shared and the love he bestowed upon his family will forever be treasured. May he rest in eternal peace.
