John Ronald McCabe, 90, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julia and John McCabe, his step-father, Alfred McCabe, and grandson Miles McCabe.
He is survived by his four children, their mother, his brother, six grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters. A veteran of the armed forces and a skilled carpenter, John took great pride in building his family a home with his own hands. He also found joy in coaching and mentoring, inspiring many through his work. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory.
A celebration of life service will be held at Albert G. Horton Cemetery located at 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA 23434 on October 25, 2024 at 11:00 am.
