John Russell Woolery, 75, passed away on November 12, 2022 in Virginia Beach, VA. John was born in Sedalia, MO to John Richard and Marjorie Bolch Woolery. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Weston Drew; sister, Jan Powell; stepdaughters, Krystle Woodward and Kelley Russell (Jon); and grandchildren, Nolan and Marlin Woolery, Lena Woodward, and Luke Russell.

John was a 1965 graduate of Princess Anne High School and a 1969 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He retired after 34 years with Norfolk Southern Railroad. John enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and watching football.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Venue 1225, 5300 Kemps River Drive, Suite 126, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
