Johnnie Linwood Holland, Jr., 74, passed away at his home on June 25, 2021 with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Norfolk, VA on March 20, 1947 to the late Velma and Johnnie Holland, Sr. Also preceding him in death is his daughter, Janet.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patsy Holland; son, Johnnie Wayne Holland (Christy); grandchildren, Jenifer McCormick, Johnnie Wayne Holland, Jr., Dalton Fagan, and Bryer Fagan; great-grandchildren, Kai and Emma; sister, Linda Thompson (Rick); Lisa, whom he loved like a daughter; two nephews; and many extended relatives and friends.

Johnnie was an Army veteran, serving his country in the Vietnam War. He then went on to retire as a civil servant after 37 years. He was a life member of the VFW 4809 and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 795 of South Norfolk.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the VFW at 5728 Bartee Street, Norfolk, VA 23502. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

I am very sorry for your loss. I’ve known Johnny since I was very young through my mom & dad (vow). We have wonderful memories and always remember laughing. Every New Year we talk about the drawings he would do at the post party… he would capture the evening every year in his drawing.
