Johnny gave me a chance. I had no administrative experience when he hired me as a receptionist. I learned so much at Walters Land Surveying, especially about kindness. The confidence I gained there developed into a career in human resources and accounting but never did I find an employer as lovely to work for as Johnny. He was such a light and will always remain that way in my memories.

I just heard about Johnny's passing and my thoughts and praters go out to his family and friends. I knew Johnny mainly in his role as one of only few licensed Land Surveyors in Hampton as he and I often exchanged and shared many surveying stories. While I hadn't seen Johnny is a few years, I still considered him a good friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew, and came into contact with him.

I wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts at this difficult time. Ladies are like trees, sometimes we lean and wanted to let you know you can lean in my direction. Take care of yourself and remember the good times you had with Johnny. 53 years of marriage is quite a feat so I am sure you had some laughs. I wish you the gift of peace.
