Jonathan Keith Garner, 69, passed away on April 13th, 2024. He lived in Hampton, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Garner and Reverend Lelon Garner, as well as his sister Kathy Beeler and eldest brother, Lelon (Al) Garner.
Jonathan enjoyed many career pursuits over his life, but his pride and joy as a car enthusiast was his business Bottom Line Salvage, which he owned and operated for over 30 years. Some of his hobbies or interests included: Car shows, working on cars, home improvement projects, adventure and travel, shooting pool, cooking and grilling, the Dallas Cowboys, dabbling in creative arts, spending time with his dog Alex, spending time with his family, and being an avid collector and enthusiast of knives and anything car related.
Those left to cherish Jon’s memory are his children, Ashley Garner, Shauna Spencer, and Charlie Watkins; grandchildren Chloe, Jolene and Tommy Watkins; his brother, Jeffrey Garner, and brother-in-law, George Beeler, as well as many nieces and cousins whom he was close with and shared a special relationship, many long-time friends, and his beloved dog, Alexander the Great. His sense of humor, vast knowledge on a multitude of subjects, and his ability to enrapture with conversation will be sorely missed by all. RIP “Hot Rod Jon.”
