Born on June 11, 1965 to William and Christl Serio, Joseph had been employed as a roofer for over 10 years. He was an avid Arizona Cardinals football fan, enjoyed rock n’ roll music, loved Mom’s home-cooking, and family. He was also always there to help others.
He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Christina (Thomas) Howell and Amber (Kyle) Morris; brother, Michael (Cathleen) Serio; nieces and nephews, Darcy Sweeney, Tara McCurdy, Casey Serio, Kayla Howell and Olivia Morris; great-niece and nephew, Katelynn and Jacob Sweeney and a host of other family members and friends. He will be missed by all.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 at Altmeyer Funeral Home-Riverside Chapel.

As I sit here with tears flowing down my face I remember all the good times we had. Sitting in front of the TV for hours when MTV was on. Messing in the silverware drawer just to make you cover your ears. I can not remember a time when you were not happy and smiling. Growing up we use to think we were going to live forever only to come to a point in time when we finally realized we're not and even now after being too many funerals of friends and loved ones it's something we will never get use to and definitely doesn't get easier. Me and Joey AKA (Round Man) at one point in time lived together, worked together and played and partied hard together. We had a many of good times together and been through a few tough times but one thing I can say is Joey was somebody I could always count on to be there as a friend when I needed him. He was a very good worker and very dependable and working with him seem to make the work day go by faster because of his humor. You will be missed my friend but not forgotten. Death can steal the flesh but it can't take the memories of better times. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wonderful family, may God be with you and comfort you during this sad time.
