Joyce Marie Clair passed away August 4, 2022 in Chesapeake, Virginia.  Joyce was born January 25, 1936 to Joseph Albanese, Sr. and Henrietta Elizabeth Albanese in Belvidere, New Jersey.

Joyce married Gary Donald Clair in 1966.  They had four children.  Joyce loved all God’s creatures and had many pets over the years, including fostering dogs.  Joyce’s favorite hobbies were bird watching and gardening.  Joyce volunteered in the church office at St. Matthews but spent most her time devoted to taking care of her family.  In 2005 Joyce was widowed by Gary, the love of her life after 39 years of marriage.

Joyce leaves behind 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  Surviving are her first child Jody Hall, her husband William, their children Nathaniel and Emily, and their grandchildren Aria and Nikki, all of Woodland Park, Colorado.  She is also survived by her second child, Joseph Clair, of Greely, Colorado.  She is survived by her third child Jeanette Mackey, her husband Patrick, and their children Calvin and Coby, all of Virginia Beach, Virginia.  She is also survived by her fourth child James Clair, his wife Becky, and their children Cole, Tyler and Mick of Camden, North Carolina.

Services for Joyce will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 3314 Sandra Ln, Virginia Beach, on Saturday, Sept 17^th at 11am.
