Judy Faye Sharlow, 59, left this world to meet her Lord on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in Virginia Beach with the company of her loving family. Judy was born November 19, 1962 in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was an alumni from the School of Hard Knocks, but still managed to be of service to her fellow humans and a shining light to all those who needed it.
Judy was a hardworking woman and passionate about her family and about helping others. Her job titles ran the gamut, but she loved being a mom, grandmother, brick mason and a bartender. She had the opportunity on many occasions to put together and run fundraisers for cancer patients and their families, victims of domestic abuse, families that lost their homes in fires. She really felt the calling to serve her community and friends. Aside from her love of service, her greatest loves were her daughter and her grandchildren.
Judy was predeceased by her parents John and Patricia Stackpole. She leaves to cherish her memory her only child Racheal (Jason) Hickenbottom; granddaughters Jasmine Baker and Lilian Hickenbottom; grandson Alfonso Hickenbottom; sisters Frances Sanchez and Debra Stackpole; brothers Franklin “Bucky” Tyree, Kenneth Tyree, and Brad Stackpole; a plethora of nieces, nephews and cousins. Judy learned of additional family members later in life, so also left to cherish her wonderful memory are her half-siblings and their families as well.
Judy’s love for God and his son Jesus was well known to all who knew her and knew of her. Everyone remembers the words she left us all with;
“God loves you, and so do I!”
