Judy Lynn Casone, 85, passed away peacefully at her home on May 7th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, adored great grandmother and dear friend to many. Judy was preceded in death by two of her sons; Scott and Kurt Casone and her brother Mason Harrison.
Born in Memphis, TN, Judy lived a life filled with love, laughter and kindness. She dedicated her heart to her family and her Catholic faith. Left to cherish her memory, she is survived by John Casone, Jr., the love of her life and husband of 68 years. Children; John Casone III (Michele), Vicki Casone-Bertok. Her sister Kay Quinn (Boyce). Seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Her best friend Linda Banks.
After Judy’s first job with Holiday Inn headquarters in Memphis, TN, she went on to pursue her real estate license selling properties in Florida. She later moved into modeling and acting roles in the 1980’s for print and commercial ads. Most of her professional career was spent in the vacation ownership industry. She retired as the general manager of the Williamsburg Plantation Resort.
Judy enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking and reading. She devoted time to the legion of Mary and Give Kids the World organizations. She was active in several Women in Travel groups where she was elected to the executive committee of the International Federation of Women in Travel in 1995. Her love of gardening motivated Judy to earn the distinguished title of Master Gardener and serve as a past president of the Berkeley Garden Club of Williamsburg. Known for her cooking skills, she passionately perfected recipes over the years. Always having at least one room in her home full of books, Judy had a zest for knowledge.
Judy’s true passion in life was spending time with her loved ones. Known to all as Nana, her warmth and compassion were unrivalled.
