Julia Juanita Moylan, cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, in her beloved Virginia. Born on March 5, 1949, also in Virginia, she graced this world with her presence for 77 years.
Throughout her life, Julia devoted herself to the care and education of others, working as a dedicated teacher in special education. Her passion for helping those who needed it most was only surpassed by her unwavering love for her family. Known for her humorous and feisty spirit, Julia was always ready with a kind word or a gentle jest that could light up any room.
A selfless soul, she would do anything for her family and found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren and the neighborhood children, delighting in their laughter and playfulness. Julia embraced the simple pleasures of life, cherishing time spent at home surrounded by loved ones.
Julia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert Dyer and Nellie Willey, and her devoted husband, Robert William Moylan. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through her surviving family: her daughter, Dana Hinckley; her son, William Moylan; her treasured grandchildren, Micha Hinckley, Kurston Hinckley, Lora Moylan, and Liam Moylan; and her brothers, Michael Willey and Norman Willey as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services for Julia will be private, honoring her wish for an intimate farewell surrounded by her closest family members. Those who were touched by Julia’s warmth and kindness are invited to share their fondest condolences with the family on the Cremation Society of Virginia website.
