Julian Matthew Wonders of Newport News passed away with peace in his heart on January 30, 2020, with his family at his side after severe injuries resulting from an automobile accident. He was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on July 29, 1991 to Alicia Wonders and Neil Blake. Julian graduated from Smithfield High School in 2009 and was very active in Boy Scouts.

Despite the grief and loss of this beautiful young man, he was deeply loved by so many and he has an undisputable light that will forever shine in the hearts of so many. Julian will be seen in the beauty of dragonflies, heard in the rustle of leaves, and his strength will be felt in the breeze of the wind.

Julian is survived by his Mom (aka. Ma), Alicia Wonders; father (aka. Dad), Michael Wonders; brother, Alec Wonders; Grandmother, Lisa Vargo; and many, many friends and loved ones.

Julian’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 at the Altmeyer (Riverside) Funeral Home, 7415 River Road, Newport News, VA 23608.

“I should have hugged you tighter and longer the last time I saw you”.

Alicia and Alec; We are so. so sorry for your loss. Julian was a good neighbor, brother and son.... I can still remember him in his Toyota 4 Runner passing by the house sporting a giant smile and friendly wave. I met Julian when he first came to Smithfield. Always joking and making people laugh and smile. Prayers are with his family. Good soul gone way to soon. You will be truly missed man.

I only knew Julian for a shot time in elementary school, we lost touch come highs school; however, my heart is still with you. Many of my photo albums from my younger years have him, and it breaks my heart that a soul was take too soon. Remember the good memories and stay strong during this difficult time. Your family is in my thoughts daily.
