I am so sorry to hear of Kate's passing. She was a lovely person, inside and out. Kate and I have exchanged Christmas cards for more than 20 yrs. She was the eptiome of grace and charm and will be missed by everyone whe ever knew her.
Linda Esposito left a message on February 23, 2011:
I grew up living across the street from Katie on Dominion Avenue when her husband was sick. She was such a special person I have kept in touch over the years even though I moved from the area. When my dad David Penkert passed away in 2007 I went to tell her personally and she was such a great comfort. She has been a special part of our lives even though we didn't see each other as often as I should have. She will be missed.

I knew her back in the 50's to 70's and remember what a special person she was. We've lost several others from the old neighborhood on Dominion Ave. but none quite like Katie. She had been ill for so long that it's a blessing she is finally at rest. But she will be missed.
Martha McBane left a message on February 23, 2011:
I was sorry to learn of Kate's passing. At the same time I am glad she is relieved of her suffering. One of the nieces.

I only met Kate via the stories and accounts that Betty Leet shared with me. I know that Betty loved Kate the way that a daughter loves her mother and all of Betty's accounts radiated that love. It is obvious that Kate was very special and will be sorely missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
