Keith Alan Best, 58, passed away at Virginia Beach General Hospital on May 28, 2023. He was born in Harrisburg, Illinois on September 26, 1964 to Dale and Marilyn Ann Best. Keith graduated from Oblong Illinois High School in 1982. He worked as a salesman for H&H Music in Evansville, Indiana. Keith attended Eastern Illinois University. He served as a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines, including ferrying military personnel into Afghanistan. He worked as a secretary to a dermatologist in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was music director for over ten years at Haygood United Methodist Church as well as many other churches throughout his life. Keith graduated from ECPI as a Registered Nurse in 2019 and worked at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Virginia.

He is survived by his father, Dale; step mother, Merrily; sister, Nancy White (John); nephew, Caden; and three nieces: Camerin Hunt and her child, Caitlin Reed (Collin) and their children, and Cayla Hunt and her child. He is also survived by his Uncle Dennis and Aunt Sandi, Aunt Myra and Uncle Roger Christeck, and many close friends, including Carol Eugley.

A memorial service will be held on June 24th, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Haygood United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach. In lieu of a donation, the family requests your prayers.
