Kenneth Augustine Sciacca was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, where he was active in athletics from an early age. He attended Northeastern University in Boston and later served in the United States Army Signal Corps, achieving the rank of Lieutenant and receiving the Army Commendation Medal. In 1963, he married Merle, his wife of 60 years.
After completing his military service, Kenneth worked at the National Security Agency before returning to New England. He went on to build a long and successful career as a high school teacher and coach in track and football. He later retired to the White Mountains and Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, where he continued to share his love of sports through coaching and officiating with local athletic organizations.
Ken will be remembered for his leadership, sense of humor, and love of sports and the outdoors. He enjoyed football, basketball, cross-country skiing, hiking with his dog, Bruno, and spending time with family. As a teacher, coach, husband, father, mentor, and friend, he brought encouragement, discipline, and warmth to the lives of those around him and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
