Kimberly Marion Knapp died peacefully and gained her angel wings on March 3, 2025. She is survived by her daughter, Chelsea; her granddaughter, Piper; her son, Ryan; her parents, Bobby and Cecelia Marion; her brothers, Jimmy (Sherri) and Rick (Michele); her nephews, Alex (Nolu) and Zachary (Ayelin); and her nieces, Rachel and Nicole.

Kim was a 1977 graduate of Lake Taylor High School. She has extended family in Virginia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. She also had a great group of friends that supported her and loved her dearly.

Kim was dedicated and heavily involved in Ryan’s activities. She started the PinPals Lynnhaven bowling group which grew to include many special needs families. Kim had Ryan involved with therapeutic recreation programs through Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation, the Families of Autism Coming Together (FACT) association, and the Young Life Capernaum Day Camp Group. She supported him with passion and unconditional love.

A celebration of Kim’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to the Autism Society of Tidewater Virginia or the American Cancer Society.
