Larry Eugene White, M.D.

Larry Eugene White, M.D., aged 70, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 in Norfolk, Virginia. Larry was born October 28, 1951 in Knoxville, Tennessee to James Eugene and Sarah Elizabeth White. He graduated from high school in Oakridge, Tennessee.

Larry met his future wife, Jackie, while both were serving in the U.S. Air Force in California, and they married in September 1978. After their marriage, Larry and Jackie settled in Norfolk, where they lived happily until Larry’s demise.

Larry was a gifted and passionate specialist for child neurology and a pediatrician, who dedicated his professional life to helping untold scores of children. He was cherished by his young patients and their parents, and he was held in high esteem by his medical partners. His whimsical attitude, his innate playfulness and empathy made him very popular among those children whom he treated over many years.

In addition to being predeceased by his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Steven. He leaves a gap in the lives of his wife, Jackie, his brother David, his niece and nephews as well as Larry and Jackie’s two godchildren, Ben and Marjorie, their spouses, and many other loving in-laws, friends and colleagues.

There will be an intimate memorial service for Larry including family and close friends in the near future. He will be sorely missed by many.
