Larry R. Keith, 59, passed away unexpectedly in Virginia Beach on May 15, 2010. He was born at Portsmouth Naval Hospital on October 24, 1950. He graduated from First Colonial High School in 1969 and retired in 2002 as a welder with the City of Norfolk Garage. Larry is survived by his devoted and loving sweetheart, Anna McNeal; daughter, Amy L. Hageman; son Brandon S. Keith and wife Jessica; grandchildren Jacob and Emily Hageman, Alexis and Michael Keith; brother Alan G. Keith and wife Janis; sister Glenda Kirchoff and husband Richard; sister Irene Renee Tomlin and husband Larry; and stepmother Ethel G. Keith. He was predeceased by his wife Sandra W. Keith in 1992; father Glenn S. Keith in 2005 and his mother Helen M. Keith in 1964.
Larry was a hardworking and loving man. A dedicated father to his two children whom he raised after his wife passed. He was humble, kind and sincere. He enjoyed talking to everyone he would meet and made them feel special. Larry had an amazing sense of humor and his smile could brighten the dreariest of days. Although his life was met with hardships, he was able to overcome any obstacle with complete perseverance. Larry was a sweet soul. He will be deeply missed by all those that loved him and had the privilege to know him. Our family invites you to a celebration of his life at Christ Presbyterian Church, 709 Aragona Blvd, Virginia Beach, Friday, May 21 at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the SPCA in honor of Larry.
