Lawrence A. (Larry) Cromer a native of Chesapeake, VA passed away on September 17, 2024, in his home surrounded by family after a fierce battle with cancer. Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother who touched many lives with his kindness and dedication.
Larry retired from So-Deep.SAM Inc. after an impressive 36-year career. During his tenure, he specialized in mapping, designation, locating, conflict analysis, survey, and geospatial solutions, consistently delivering accurate and reliable data on the existence and location of underground utilities. His expertise and commitment made him a respected figure in his field.
Outside of his professional life, Larry had a passion for golfing and watching collegiate and NFL football specifically his Green Bay Packers. He took great pride in tending to his yard and tinkering in his garage. These hobbies brought him immense joy and relaxation throughout his life.
Larry is preceded in death by his father, Donald W Cromer. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 17 years, Dianne Cromer, with whom he shared a deep love spanning 22 years. He is also survived by his children, Heather Bloise and Rick Sewalish; his grandchildren, Kaleb Sewalish, Joseph Bloise, and Mason Bloise; his mother, Donna L. Cromer and his sister, Susan (Don) Morgan.
The family plans to hold a celebration of Larry’s life at a later date and time. The memory of Larry’s warmth, dedication and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Rest in peace, Larry. You will be greatly missed.
