Lawrence Purley ( Buster ) Harrelson Jr., 82, passed away on Wednesday April 14, 2021.

He was born on August 12, 1938 in Dillon, South Carolina and was proceeded in death by his mother, Catherine H. Brown; father, Lawrence P. Harrelson Sr,; stepfather, Joseph T. Brown and his sister, Miriam H. Jackson.

Surviving family includes his daughter, Marsha H. McMillan of Hampton, Va. And two sons, Marcus W. Lane and his wife, Lisa and Stephen R. Lane of Williamsburg, Va.; sister, Shirley Jean King; brother, Randy Harrelson; half-brother, Bonnie Charles Harrelson; grandchildren, Courtney N. McMillan ( Austin ) and Patrick L. McMillan; niece, Debra Jenkins; (3)great-grandchildren and other nieces, nephews and other distant family members.

Due to Covid-19 memorial service delayed until further notice.

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.

I can't tell you how much Uncle Buster meant to me. We shared a very special bond together. He has been in my life since the day that I was born. Now he's gone but I know where to find him he is in my heart. Buffy I can't begin to understand how you are handling this. I wish I could reach out and give you a hug but don't ever forget how much he loved you and the same as me look to your heart.

My family had the pleasure of knowing Buster for years starting when he worked at Patriot Chev in Williamsburg as a bodyman with Eddie English; they also had a shop together, he said Buster taught him everything he new and that he was the best in Williamsburg. We have a lot of good memories (including him washing and shinning up whatever car he had at the time). So very sorry for your loss
